Ames Double Check Valves

Double check valve 1000 series is a 1000DCV detector check valve used predominately in fire protection applications.  The valve is fitted with a detector to check unauthorised use of leakage in the water system.  There are two options:

  1. Constructed from cast iron body and can be installed horizontally or vertically with a maximum working pressure of 175psi.  Valve comes in 40 or 50mm size.
  2. Constructed from steel body and can be installed horizontally or vertically.  This valve has a maximum working pressure of 175psi.  Valves come in 100 to 250mm.

1000 SS series (stainless steel detector check valve) has been constructed using a stainless steel body with flanged connections with stainless steel linkage parts.  This series is lightweight, non corrosive and can be installed either vertically or horizontally.  The maximum working pressure is 175psi.  Noted this valve is also available in lead free models.

LF2000B Double check valve series this is a testable device with a medium hazard rating. This backflow prevention device is designed to prevent backflow in portable water supplies.  The device is easily maintainable with a Lead free cast silicon copper alloy body construction.  The maximum pressure is 175psi.  Sizes range from 15 to 50mm.

M200 and M200N Stainless steel double check valves assemblies is constructed for fire systems with a high flow requirement to prevent backflow into the drinking water supply.  These are designed with a compact housing.  This testable device features stainless steel housing and sleeves as well as minimal pressure loss through the double check valve device.  The stainless steel construction is 70% lighter than standard designs.  Maximum pressure is 175psi.  Available in a range of sizes from 65 to 250mm.

M200Na device is ideal for fire services manufactured to ensure high flow through the stainless steel housing.  This device has a medium hazard rating and is a testable device.  The M200Na has a maximum working pressure of 175psi and range includes sizes of 65 to 100mm.

2000SS Double check valve assemblies is designed to prevent the backflow of potentially contaminated water entering the drinking supply.  This valve is ideal to be retro fitted into an existing fire service.  This backflow prevention device is testable with a medium hazard rating.  Maximum working pressure 175 psi.  Available sizes 65-300mm.

2000B device is constructed of a bronze housing that is easily maintained and serviceable.  Designed for medium hazard use.  The backflow prevention device is fitted with test points to ensure correct working with a medium hazard rating.  Maximum pressure 175psi.  Available size 15-50mm.

2000B- FP incorporates gear operated slow closing isolation valves.   The housing contains a bronze body construction designed with a backflow prevention testable with a medium hazard rating.  Maximum pressure 175psi.  Available in 25-50mm.

3000BM1/3000BM1-FP is a bronze body construction detector assembly double check valve.  This valve is primarily used in fire sprinkler systems. Designed with a low usage water meter to read the unauthorised use of fire systems.  Protects against possible back siphonage and back pressure.  This is a testable device with a medium hazard rating and a maximum pressure of 175psi. Available only in 50mm size.
